How many talent trees does Shadow Dungeon have?
Twelve at 1.0 — three per class across four heroes.
Shadow Dungeon talent trees are the spine of every kit: four classes, twelve trees, and 370+ skills that later open into unlimited skill-point hybrids. This page maps how to spend without wasting a story act. Verified August 27, 2026 for Shadow Dungeon by OO Cat · Steam.
Treat each trio as mutually reinforcing, not as three unrelated mini-classes. Your first Shadow Dungeon talent plan should name which of the three trees is “home.”

| Class | Official fantasy | Tree count |
|---|---|---|
| Sorcerer | Elemental magic | 3 |
| Holy Warrior | Dual blades | 3 |
| Archer | Deadly precision | 3 |
| Necromancer | Demons & skeletons | 3 |
Early points buy reliability. Save theorycrafting for after your first clean chapter stretch.
Buy the nodes that make the class fantasy true on the skill bar. If you chose Necromancer for summons, early points should make summons feel mandatory — not optional cosmetics.
Add the first defensive or sustain talent your tree offers before you greed pure damage. Map packs and bosses punish glass kits harder than soft DPS.
Only then expand AoE, cooldown reduction style nodes, or utility that speeds map clears. Match spend to the maps you are actually farming (power is map-tied).
Reforge and enchant systems exist to push rolls toward your spine. Deep crafting notes belong on equipment; here, only keep the rule: talents decide which grants are legal.

| Loot signal | Talent response |
|---|---|
| Granted skill matches home tree | Prioritize equip; consider nodes that amplify that skill family |
| Granted skill is off-fantasy | Stash for an alt or salvage — do not rebuild the whole tree for one drop |
| Set bonus reshapes a skill | Read armor sets before spending materials |
| Negative affix on otherwise good piece | See affixes — sometimes still correct if the grant is unique |

Late game removes the artificial scarcity that forced mono-tree play. Hybrids become the intended endgame expression — after the story, not instead of it.
Unlimited points do not mean random points. Keep a primary tree at “always online,” then spend overflow into a deliberate second package (defense, summons support, second element, etc.).
Open the second tree when a Greater Rifts difficulty exposes a hole — not when a Reddit comment lists a hybrid.
Even with unlimited points, your fingers and bar slots are limited. Prefer talents that empower skills you already press.
Full leveling context — story hours, chapter count, and Paragon unlock — lives on progression.
| Priority | Paragon intent |
|---|---|
| 1 | Stats that protect clear speed of your home fantasy |
| 2 | Survivability that keeps rift attempts alive |
| 3 | Experimental nodes only after Inferno farm feels stable |
1.0.1 specifically fixed talent-clear UX issues — respecs are part of normal play. Still, clearing for fun mid-map is expensive in time.
If you still have not chosen a class fantasy, back up to classes first.

Official OO Cat showcases cover Mage, Paladin, Ranger, and Necromancer skill trees on their channel; this page covers spend rules.
Assassin, Engineer, Barbarian, and Warlock are planned — expect more trees when those ship. Do not plan current kits around them.
Not a full 370-row database yet — it is the talent spend guide. Pair with builds for kits.
